The Media Institute of Southern African (MISA) Zambia Chapter has challenged government to be truthful on the enactment of the Access to Information Bill.
MISA Zambia Chairperson Hellen Mwale notes that the eight days remaining before parliament is dissolved ARE not enough to enact the bill into law.
She says it is unacceptable for government to start panicking on the last minute when they had 5 years to enact the bill.
Ms Mwale says it will be good to enact the bill before parliament is dissolved.
