Govt asked to equip Government Printers

ActionAid Zambia Country Director Nalucha Ziba has attributed the cries over printing of ballot papers abroad to failure by the PF in honoring their campaign promise to equip Government Printers in order to print the papers locally.

Ms Ziba recalls that the PF while in opposition promised the people of Zambia that the thing of printing ballot papers abroad will be a thing of the past but that this is contrary to what is obtaining in the country now.

She says what the PF were supposed to do was to go back to the people and tell them that they are unable to print the ballot papers locally and therefore they will once again be printed abroad.

Ms Ziba says this would have helped in resolving the fears that the people have in printing these ballot papers abroad.
