Senior Chief Nkula hails President Lungu

Senior Chief Nkula of the Bemba people of Chinsali has hailed President Edgar Lungu for his robust push to complete the infrastructure development projects launched by late president Michael Sata.

Special Assistant to the president for press and public relation Amos Chanda says the chief has also warned that he will take decisive action against anyone wishing to promote violence in his chiefdom.

He says he will be addressing security chiefs in the area to discuss security in the chiefdom especially during the elections season.

The traditional leader says the Bemba chiefs are proud of the president’s leadership style which has enabled him to unite the country in the aftermath of the challenging period following the death of President Sata.

And in response, President Lungu has assured the chief of continued cooperation with him and other chiefs.

The president has also encouraged the chief to help curb illegal harvesting of the precious Mukula tree.

President Lungu says he is pleased that the chief has taken a tough stance against violence and encouraged him to continue engaging all stakeholders in this respect.
