PF confident of winning elections

Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri says the economic challenges facing the country will not stop the ruling party from winning this year’s elections.

Ms. Phiri says opposition political parties will be surprised when election results are announced.

She says the Patriotic Front has delivered on most of the promises made to the Zambian people prior to 2011 elections, citing the construction of roads and other infrastructure across the country.

Ms. Phiri has since challenged the opposition to tell the people of Zambia where the PF has failed to deliver.

She says the ruling party is ready for this year’s elections and is looking forward to the dissolution of Parliament President Edgar Lungu to mark the commencement of official campaigns.
