US Govt expect Zambia to hold free, fair polls

United States Ambassador to Zambia Erick Schultz says America expects Zambia to hold free and fair elections on August 11.

Mr. Schultz says the forthcoming elections should enhance Zambia’s reputation as a stable democracy.

He says the United States is looking forward to an election whose outcome will be accepted by all political parties and the Zambian people.

Mr. Schultz adds that the United States is ready to assist the Electoral Commission of Zambia to ensure the country holds free and fair elections.
