Will Smith divorce rumors won’t be going away any time soon after a recent interview had the actor talking about his strenuous marriage!
While every union goes through its fair share of ups and downs, Will and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, have long been rumored to be in an unhappy marriage.
Smith sat down with Entertainment Tonight and opened up about his relationship with Jada. Not surprisingly, of course, admitted that it hasn’t been all roses.
“We’ve been married 20 years and we’ve been asking ourselves [what’s the secret to marriage] and really at the end of the day it’s just not quitting. You can’t expect it to be easy. It’s like our marriage was the most difficult, grueling, excruciating thing that we have ever taken on in our lives. And you know were just not quitters,” Smith said.
Will Smith divorce rumors circulate every couple of months, but the couple manages to stay focused on each other and not the tabloid fodder. Although they are both really honest about how much work goes into their relationship, they are also honest about how determined they are to make their marriage work.
According to the report, Smith shared his “secret” to a long marriage.
“If there is a secret I would say [it’s] that we never went into working in our relationship. We only ever worked on ourselves individually, and then presented ourselves to one another better than we were previously,” Smith said. Apparently this is something that has worked for him and Jada (so far, anyway).
