Siavonga DC advises farmers to access inputs ahead of rains

Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has advised farmers in the district not to wait for rains before accessing farming inputs.

Mr. Kanyama has told Qfm that farming inputs under the Farmers Input Support Programme (FISP) are already in the district, but that farmers are not accessing the inputs.

He has advised farmers in the district to start preparing for the farming season despite the delayed rains.

Mr. Kanyama says it might be too late for the farmers if they wait for the rainy season to intensify before they can start getting their inputs.

Hs says government has done its part by ensuring that the inputs are closer to them and the onus is on them to get the inputs in readiness for the farming season.
