Civil rights activist Brebner Changala has forewarned that political violence in Zambia is likely to escalate to un-controllable levels in 2016 if left unchecked.

Mr. Changala says the current political violence must be condemned by all leaders at all levels.

He says cadres involved in violence should be disowned and Police cage whoever they find engaging in violence in the name of advancing the interest of their political parties.

Mr. Changala has also cautioned political parties against categorizing particular areas in the country as no go areas for their opponents.

Mr. Changala says there is no go area in a multiparty democracy such as Zambia.

He states that such declarations are what he thinks are a recipe for perpetration of acts of political violence.

And Mr. Changala has urged the media to play role in putting to an end the perpetration of violence in the Country.
