Msoni challenges govt to give economic recovery plan

All People’s Congress (APC) Party President Nason Msoni says it is worrying that the PF Government has not availed the Zambian people with a plan on the country’s economic recovery.

Mr. Msoni says what is even more worrying is that President Edgar Lungu is not receptive to technical advice given to him on how best the country can come out of the current economic situation.

He says if reports in some sections of the media indicating that President Lungu refused the offer by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are true, then the people of Zambia should expect the worst from the PF Government.

Mr. Msoni says it is important that the government tells the nation and the investors their actual plan on economic recovery as currently government does not seem to have any plan.

He wonders how the country will recover from its current economic situation if government is refusing technical advice given to it.

Mr. Msoni has since challenged the government to clearly state its plan for the recovery of the economy.
