The Zambia National Service (ZNS) officers are said to have shot dead a 19 year old boy and left his brother injured last night in 10 miles area of Katuba Constituency.
No clear reasons have been established to ascertain what led to the shooting and killing of the 19 year old boy who has been indentified as Braden Mulenga.
Resident’s spoken to have told Qfm News that the ZNS is allegedly withholding facts over the shooting.
The Residents are concerned at the increasing insecurity in their area and are calling upon the government to consider shifting the offices of ZNS from the area.
And Uncle to the deceased who sought anonymity has told Qfm News that his heart has been broken by the death of his nephew as he believes ZNS officers owes his family an explanation to what led to killing of the 19 year old boy.
He thinks that government must discipline the officers before many lives are lost due to such alleged recklessness of ZNS officers.
And area Member of Parliament Jonas Shakafuswa has also directed the Zambia Police Officers to arrest anyone who will protest against the killing of the boy the ZNS officers.
But Headman Manyama of Manyama village is saddened to see that Mr. Shakafuswa, the man who is supposed to protect the community is on the one now that is asking the Police to arrest his own people.
