Opposition political party leaders that have attended this year’s government organized Independence Day celebrations have been commended for accepting President Edgar Lungu’s invitation.
The ruling PF has particularly named MMD president Nevers and People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti as some of the opposition leaders that have exercised truth leadership by accepting the invitation and actually attend the celebrations held this afternoon at Hero’s Stadium.
PF Lusaka province youths are however displeased that some opposition political party leaders have opted to shun the Independence celebrations which have been graced by King Mswati the third of Swaziland.
PF Lusaka province youth Information and Publicity Secretary Stanley Chiumya states that this is especially that an effort was made to invite them.
Mr. Chiumya has told Qfm News in an interview that such kind of leaders who have shunned the government organized Independence Day celebration have only demonstrated how selective they will be if ever they form government.
He has however encouraged the media and the Church to help interpret this year’s Independence Day commemoration theme.
