Zambians urged to take national prayer seriously

The opposition Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) has urged God fearing Zambians to take the day of national prayer and fasting this month seriously.

The ZDDM believes that 18th October which President Edgar Lungu set as the day for national prayer and fasting is a turning point for Zambia.

ZDDM president Edwin Sakala says his organization believes that the liberation of Zambia from the negative forces which first Republican President Kenneth Kaunda spoke about on Freedom day this year will on this day loosen their hold on the country.

Mr. Sakala has told Qfm News in a statement that his party also believes that all the secret devil worshippers using their power to keep innocent Zambians in the chains of hate and malice will on this day lose their hold on the nation and spiritually dead Zambians.

But opposition All People’s Congress (APC) president Nason Msoni has told Qfm News in a separate statement that he thinks that calling for a day of national prayer by President Lungu is hypocrisy.

Mr. Msoni says this is because the government which has called for this day of national prayer is in fact the one responsible for the suffering which it wants people to prayer to God to solve.

He says his party believes that Godliness gives nations strengths to overcome challenges but the APC thinks that leaders are supposed to responsible and behalf in manner that pleases God.
