Apostle Christopher Kunda of the Presence of God Ministries says government through the ministries of Home Affairs and Local Government and Housing should ensure that bars and other social clubs remain closed on 18th October the day of national prayer and fasting.

He tells QFM News that it will be mocking to God to have such facilities opened while the nation is in a mood of prayers and fasting.

Apostle Kunda says the declaration by the Head of State should be respected by ensuring that bars and other drinking places remain closed as the country seeks the face of God.

Apostle Kunda states that it will be mockery in the face of God to have a certain section of the Zambian society praying, while others are busy drinking and partying.

Meanwhile Apostle Kunda has called on President Edgar Lungu to consider honoring late second republican President Fredrick Chiluba by naming some of the infrastructure being built in the country such universities after him.

Apostle Kunda says Dr Chiluba deserves to be honored for the role he played in spearheading the reintroduction of multiparty democracy in the country and declaring Zambia a Christian nation.
