South African Trade and Industry Minister, Rob Davies

The South African Department of Trade and Industry is leading a delegation of thirty-five (35) business persons to a Trade and Investment Mission to be held in Lusaka from 6-8 October 2015.

The business delegation will comprise of business people from the agro-processing, built environment professionals, capital equipment, electro-technical, infrastructure, metals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment sectors.

South African Trade and Industry Minister, Rob Davies says the mission will have a positive impact in terms of increasing export sales from both countries over the long term, which will lead to job creation for the citizens of both South Africa and Zambia.

Dr Davies notes that this platform enables the objective of strengthening bilateral relations, both economic and political between South Africa and Zambia.

He says South African companies participating on this mission will be afforded an opportunity to confer with their Zambian counterparts to forge partnerships and strengthen investment in both countries.

Speakers at the seminar will include South African High Commissioner to Zambia Sikose Mji, Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, Margaret Mwanakatwe and the Director of Investments at the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) Agness Chaila.
