Islamic Council sees need for human development policy

The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia says there is need to put a policy in place for human development.

Council President Suzyo Zimba says people have to be developed to manage certain sectors of society unlike the case is where anyone can do anything and put in positions they have no knowledge about.

He says if the country can have a policy of developing its own people the country is likely to move forward as the people will be able to perform.

He says this will also help in reducing foreign expatriates as locals would have the knowledge to do certain things.

Mr. Zimba adds that this will in turn contribute to the creation of job opportunities for the people of Zambia and later translate into reducing the high levels of poverty.

He further states that Zambians themselves should also be willing to learn if they have to be developed.
