Local Government and Housing Minister John Phiri says the delayed Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for 2015 will be disbursed this month.
Dr Phiri has told Parliament in a ministerial statement that 113 constituency of the 150 will receive the CDF starting this month.
He adds that 37 other constituencies which did not receive the CDF for 2014 will start receiving their allocations today 2nd October.
Dr Phiri says government had earlier disbursed the 2014 CDF to 113 constituencies to the tune of K158.2 million, leaving a balance of 37 constituencies that are yet to receive their 2014 CDF allocation amounting to a total of K51.8 million.
He explains that the delay to release the 2014 CDF to the 37 constituencies was due to among other factors huge balances of the un-utilized 2013 CDF allocations.
