The Southern African Center for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) has agreed with the observation by other stakeholders that President Edgar Lungu is traveling a lot.

SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Cheembe has observed that President Lungu is doing so at a time the country is facing many challenges that need his attention as Head of State.

Mr Cheembe has told Qfm News in an interview that what is of concern to SACCORD is that President Lungu cannot deal with these challenges when he is most of the time on the move.

He states that the current national budget deficit and load shedding being experienced in the country require the Head of State to cut down on both local and international trips especially given the size of his entourage when he makes such trips.

Mr Cheembe says President Lungu should in fact call for a press conference where he should tell the nation exactly how his government intends to deal with the issues affecting the Zambian people.

Mr. Cheembe has also challenged government to avail to the nation the exact benefits that have accrued to Zambia from the trips President Lungu has made so far since assuming the highest office.
