Activists explains Govt-opposition tension in Zambia

Governance Activist Maurice Malambo has observed that the perceived tension between the opposition and the ruling party in Zambia is as a result of lack of conflict management skills by politicians.

Mr. Malambo tells QFM News in a walk interview that Zambia is the only country where the opposition and the ruling party have failed to work together for the sole purpose of moving the country forward.

Mr. Malambo says the opposition political parties must heal from the loss of the elections and be available to work with the ruling party.

He argues that the constitution making process is one issue that is creating tension between the ruling party and opposition saying the opposition are not sincere over the process.

He says there is need for politicians to start working together since they exist to serve the interest of the people and not their interests.
