2, 400Kms of roads underway under Link Zambia

The Road Development Agency (RDA) has disclosed that about 2, 400 kilometers of roads are being worked on across the country under the Link Zambia 8000 Road Project.

RDA Senior Manager Public Relations Loyce Saili has told QFM News in an interview that the roads however are at different levels.

And Ms Saili says about 150 kilometers of roads under the L400 Road Project have been done including the installation of street lighting.

Ms Saili says the project is moving well as seen with the construction of drainages, expansion of roads such as Mumbwa, Burma and Chilimbulu roads.

And Ms Saili has also disclosed that the agency has identified 26 sites for the construction of toll plazas and that six are under construction now.

She says by next year the agency will able to cover all vehicles saying at the moment only heavy vehicles above 6.5 tones are paying at the points of entry.
