Paglory plans to construct first ever private university in Kabwe

PagloryPaglory College of Education Principal Trasizio Banda called on the private sector to help government achieve its goals on promoting early childhood education in the country.

Speaking during the 3rd Graduation Ceremony for 348 Early Childhood Teachers Diploma in Kabwe today, Dr. Banda says the granduands have been natured with the new curriculum which is being implemented in schools and can handle any situation in the teaching industry.

Dr. Banda notes that government is currently emphasizing on the importance of early childhood education in the country, and that the private sector sees it fit to work with government in promoting early childhood education.

He says the students that have graduated will go a long way in helping meet the much needed skilled labour force in the area of early childhood and primary education.

Speaking at the same ceremony, Zambia Open University Vice Chancellor Professor Mutale Bwalya says there is an increasing number of prospective students seeking opportunities for teacher training in the country.

Professor Mutale says the university ensures that all affiliated institutions offer quality teacher training skills to students so that they can contribute to the growth of the nation.

And Paglory President Dr. Egidio Machuta revealed plans to construct the first ever private university in Kabwe in the near future.
