2015 Barclays Cup line up decided

CupAll eight places in this years 2015 Barclays Cup have been decided.

Two former champions and a debutant have made the cut for Zambia’s lone premier cup tournament whose dates have yet to be announced by Faz.

Record four-time winners Zesco United and two-time champions Power Dynamos lead the six teams that have qualified from the Faz Super league.

Third placed Zesco and second positioned Power have qualified despite three and two games in hand respectively at the mid-way cut-off point in Week 15 as they cannot be overtaken by any of the teams outside the top six.

Zesco are also the defending champions after beating Nkana 3-1 in last season’s final.

Promoted Nkwazi who are fourth on the table will be taking part in the competition for the first time since 2010 when they made a first round exit at the hands of Power.

Nkwazi is one of two promoted teams heading into this years quarter final draws together with Mufulira Wanderers who will be making their second successive appearance in the tournament.

Zanaco, runners-up in 2010 and Green Buffaloes complete the six teams from the FAZ Super League.

Meanwhile, newcomers Lumwana Radiants who be taking part in their first tournament after finishing top of division One North.
