Remain peaceful – EFZ urges ahead of tomorrow’s poll

The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has urged political parties participating in tomorrow’s Parliamentary by-elections to remain peaceful.

EFZ Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza says political parties have the responsibility to ensure that the elections are free from any violent activity.

Reverend Mwanza states that this means that all party leaders should take it upon themselves to denounce violence and encourage their members to vote in peace and harmony.

He says the church will similarly continue to pray so that all areas where the by-elections are due are protected from evil elements.

Reverend Mwanza has also appealed to the police to ensure that law and order is maintained in Mulobezi, Malambo and Petauke central constituencies.

He has since wished all the candidates participating in all three Parliamentary by-elections good luck.
