The Ministry of Education says the July recruitment of 5000 teachers is still on course.

Spokesperson Hillary Chipango has told Qfm News in an interview that the Ministry is going by what was budgeted for in the 2015 national budget.

Mr. Chipango says the Ministry of Education has to this effect already finished the recruitment costing process.

He states that all those qualified as teachers in the country must therefore be on the lookout for the recruitment advertisements that will soon be running in the print and electronic media.

Mr. Chipango has further disclosed that in planning the recruitment exercise, the Ministry took stock of the vacancies that currently exist in the rural areas.

He says this entails that the hardship allowances for teachers who will be recruited in rural areas has also been planned for.
