Over 15,000 obtain NRCs in Muchinga province

Home Affairs Minister Davies Mwila says over 15,000 people have so far been issued with National Registration Cards in Muchinga province in the ongoing mobile issuance of NRCs.

Mr. Mwila says the high number of people turning out to get their NRCs in Muchinga province is encouraging and shows that people know the importance of having the national identity document.

He says other provinces where the exercise is yet to be conducted should emulate the people of Muchinga province by turning up in n umbers to get their NRCs in readiness for the 2016 general election.

And Mr. Mwila says no one should be given priority in the issuance of NRCs regardless of which political parties they are coming from.

He says every Zambian eligible to acquire an NRC should do so without any difficulties.

Mr. Mwila has however noted the need for more sensitization on the ongoing mobile issuance of NRCs in certain areas.
