Fans knock Rihanna’s giant yellow dress on social media with hilarious results

THE usually shy and retiring singer Rihanna has become the subject of many internet memes over her choice of attire.

The singer wore a huge yellow coat trimmed in fur to this year’s Met Gala, along with an elaborate headdress and choker style necklace.

And despite the Rude Boy singer telling reporters it took one Chinese woman over two years to complete, fans have still been quick to ridicule her outfit.

It didn’t take long for those scamps on Twitter to mock up some hilarious memes.

The bright outfit has been likened to an omelette, the yellow brick road and Sesame Street character Big Bird.

One fan wrote: “Rihanna basically placed a bomb inside Big Bird and then wore the results.”

But considering the Riri once braved the red carpet in little more than a thong and sequinned net, we doubt very much she minds.

Aside from the colour, the enormous train of her gown also gained a huge about of social media attentions.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, she admitted that she required an entourage to help her move around in the outfit.

She said: “I’m so in love with this dress, but the train is insane!I can’t really walk in it without any help. But it’s so worth it.”
