Patriotic Front (PF) National Youth Chairperson Chishimba Kambwili has maintained that Dora Siliya who has now joined the ruling party should apologize for attacking late President Michael Sata’s regime.
Mr. Kambwili says he personally wants Ms. Siliya to apologize because her recent remarks suggested that the late President’s regime was more than xenophobia.
Mr.Kambwili stresses that he still stands by his statement as an individual that Ms Siliya should render an apology and that people should not expect him to smile for Ms Siliya before she apologizes.
Mr. Kambwili says he is driven by principle and nothing else.
He says there is need to learn from mistakes of the past in the manner politics are run by calling a spade a spade.
And Mr. Kambwili who is also Information Minister says he takes strong exception for who are junior members of the party such as PF media Committee vice chairperson Sunday Chanda to issue statements urging the public not listen to him as national youth chairperson.
He says there is nowhere in the PF party structures were the media committee exists wondering where Mr Chanda is drawing his authority.
Mr. Kambwili says he does not take offence with the statement from PF secretary general Davies Chama who has stated that the former Petauke Member of Parliament has been welcomed by the party wholeheartedly.
