Barcelona defender Dani Alves has conceded that he is unsure whether he will leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.

Alves, who will be 32 at the end of the ongoing season, has represented Barcelona for the past seven years after moving from Sevilla for approximately £23 million.

There has been a lot of speculation about Alves leaving the Nou Camp at the end of the season and he has already been linked with Manchester United and Paris St-Germain.

However, Alves made it clear that he is happy at Barcelona and added that the club are in control of his future.

“My heart is happy where I am, with what I have and the colours I defend,” Alves told Globoesporte. “I’ll fulfil my part because I have the same desire I had when I came to Barcelona.

“I have no pre-contract with anyone. I’ve decided to live in the moment and the moment is now.

“There are three competitions this season. I want to end my contract with titles, so I finish with a good taste in my mouth. Whatever comes next, I’ll accept.”
