Govt assures stakeholders on private schools monitoring

Government has assured stakeholders that it has the capacity to effectively monitor the registration and running of private schools in the country.

Ministry of Education Public Relations Officer Hillary Chipango has told QFM News in an interview that people should not be worried that government lacks the capacity to monitor the running of private schools.

Mr. Chipango explains that the decision by government to resume the registration and monitoring of private schools was done to review the monitoring mechanisms of the schools.

He says the Education Minister will next month announce the Registrar officer to be specifically in charge of private schools.

Mr Chipango says government will always make sure that private schools as well as government schools are up to date with the education standards.
