He says the Zambia Police Service has a challenge to ensure that if it is true that some officers are leaking intelligence information to Mr. Hichilema, they should be brought to book without hesitation.

President Lungu says if there are such elements in the system, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) should ensure that such people are prosecuted.

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony of Chief Justice Ireen Mambilima at State House this morning, the Head of State emphasized that he will not interfere in the investigations and prosecutions of any case in the country.

And President Lungu has urged the Chief Justice to ensure that she works hard and see to it that cases are disposed off on time.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the swearing in ceremony, Chief Justice Ireen Mambilima says she will strive to ensure that the court cases are disposed off with the shortest period of time.

She notes that the issue of delays in disposing off of cases has been there for a long time.

Justice Mambilima says her first task will be to meet various stakeholders such as the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) and see how best court cases can be heard within a shortest possible time.
