Power Dynamos coach Tennant Chilumba has praised two-goal hero Alex Ngonga’s performance in Sunday’s 2-0 home win over Al Khartoum.

Ngonga scored a brace at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on March 1 to guide Power to the first round of the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup following a 2-1 aggregate win over the Sudanese club.

“It was an excellent performance. Credit to the boy, he has been working hard and I think he deserved the two goals,” Chilumba said.

Ngonga scored his first goal in the 19th minute to hand Power a 1-0 halftime lead before saving them from the prospect of post-match penalties with a stoppage time penalty.

The Zambia striker now has two goals from as many games played for Power in the competition as they head into their March 15 away first round, first leg date to CF Mounana of Gabon.
