Wina rubbishes HH’s claims

Vice President Inonge Wina has dismissed as mere political propaganda UPND President Hakainde Hichilema’s claims that he gets a copy of the national intelligence report before it reaches President Edgar Lungu.

Responding to a question by MMD Muchinga Member of Parliament Howard Kunda who solicited for a comment on Mr Hichilema’s claims during the vice president’s question time in Parliament this morning, Ms Wina described the UPND leader’s claims as a political gimmick.

Ms Wina says Mr Hichilema simply wants to show that government is not working by making such claims.

The Vice President however stated that if Mr Hichilema truly has access to the intelligence report this has legal implications.

And Ms Wina says people with criminal motives who are not PF members are taking advantage of the Patriotic Front’s lack of membership cards to commit crimes in the name of the party.

Responding to a question on the recent murder of a UPND member in Mtendere killed by suspected PF cadres, Ms Wina said the murder case in question was purely criminal.

Ms Wina says the party will take measures that will protect its integrity and its membership.
