LCF urges Lungu to ensure law, order is maintained

The Leadership Conference Foundation (LCF) has urged President Edgar Lungu and his entire administration to take their responsibility seriously in ensuring that law and order is maintained in the country.

LCF Spokesperson Stanley M’hango has emphasized that government through the Zambia Police should ensure that any reported acts of criminality must be seen to be investigated to the fullest given the political intolerance being exhibited by the cadres of various political parties.

Mr. M’hango points out that the failure by the Police to act on reported cases of political violence may lead to some sectors of society taking the law in their hands, a situation which is undesirable.

He has also appealed to citizens to remain calm and allow the Police to carry out their investigations and bring the culprits to book.

Mr. M’hango further states that as an organization, they will continue urging the public to ensure that they maintain law and order as they continue with their political activities.
