Calls for Lungu to address poverty continue

Calls for the need for President Edgar Lungu to focus on addressing the high levels of poverty in the country have continued polling in.

Former Church of God overseer John Mambo says it is important that President Lungu considers a proactive route in the manner he will addresses the issues of poverty and under-development through the provision of decent jobs for all.

Bishop Mambo who is also Chikondi foundation President says in this way President Lungu will make poverty enemy number one which his government should consider as a priority.

He says President Lungu should further take advantage of the reduced price of crude oil at the international market in order for Zambians to benefit.

Bishop Mambo says President Lungu should also work towards developing manufacturing and mining industries which would provide meaningful economic development through the creation of decent jobs for the people of Zambia.

He has also advised the President to be wary that the people of Zambia are fed up of unfulfilled promises and therefore as the country’s new Head of State he should ensure that he delivers.
