Lungu sends message of condolence to Sissi

President Edgar Lungu has sent a message of condolence to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah Sissi following the killing of more than 30 people in a terror attack.

President Lungu says he has learnt with a deep sense of sorrow what he has termed as cowardly acts of violence against the people of Egypt living in the area of Sinai.

President Lungu has since assured Egypt of Zambia’s support to in that country’s efforts to combat terrorism.

And President Lungu has also expressed his desire that the friendly and brotherly relations that exist between Zambia and Egypt continue to grow from strength to strength for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries.

The Head of State met President El Sissi on January 29 on the sidelines of the AU Summit in Addis Ababa and discussed several bilateral issues including bilateral cooperation to combat terrorism.
