The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has called on importers to be more patriotic to Zambia with respect to the quality of products they bring into the country.
CCPC Director for Consumer Protection Brian Lingela says Zambians should not be subjected to substandard and counterfeit products.
Mr Lingela says such products are not only health hazards but also robs owners of the intellectual property rights of their much needed income.
Mr. Lingela has told Qfm News in an interview that substandard and counterfeit products also erode the country’s much needed revenue.
He has since called for concerted efforts from consumers in dealing with substandard and counterfeit products.
