Republican President Edgar Chagwa Lungu
The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has described President Edgar Lungu’s as very inspiring.
EFZ Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza notes that the President touched on a number of issues which are affecting the people of Zambia and need attention.
Reverend Mwanza notes that if the President meant what he said in his speech, then the country is headed in the right direction.
He points out that what was so exciting in the president’s speech is the promise to give the people of Zambia a people driven constitution, but that sadly he did not indicate the time frame for the enactment of the constitution.
Rev Mwanza says people need to know the time in which the new constitution may be given to them and not kept waiting in perpetuity.
He adds that the pledge to eradicate poverty as well as the issue of taxation is of utmost important at the moment and that the Zambian people are really looking forward to having these issues addressed.
Rev Mwanza says the people of Zambia are excited and expectant and have confidence that President Lungu will take the country forward.
He has further congratulated Mr. Lungu for becoming Zambia’s sixth republican president and has urged all well meaning Zambians to support and respect him for the betterment of the country.
