DEGHA excited by Lungu’s constitution assurance

The Democratic Governance and Human Rights Advocates (DEGHA) say it is excited with the assurance by President Edgar Lungu that he will give Zambians a people driven constitution.

DEGHA National Coordinator Gerald Michelo however says the delivering of a people driven constitution should do be done as soon as possible because the people of Zambia have been waiting for too long.

Mr. Michelo says the people of Zambia have been moved by this assurance and are anxiously waiting for the constitution thus President Lungu should not disappoint them as this may work to his advantage come 2016.

He adds that they are hopeful that President Lungu will not let the people down but that he will serve the people of Zambia with dignity and purpose.

Mr. Michelo has further urged the people of Zambia to be patient and calm as they wait for a people driven constitution as promised by the newly elected President Edgar Lungu.
