Financial Analyst Mambo Hamaundu says there is need for relevant stakeholders to sensitize the masses on the benefit of saving money, which he says is lacking in the country.
Mr. Hamaundu has observed that it’s better to sensitize people on the importance of saving as the culture of saving leaves much to be desired.
He says several reports in Zambia have indicated that a number of people fail to save money in the bank due to low income.
He adds that even the number of people who have access to banking services in the country is still low, the situation he has described as worrying.
Mr. Hamaundu has told QFM Business News that given this background, there is need to improve the saving culture in Zambia as well as bring banking services closer to the people more especially in remote areas.
