UPND not intimidated by PF reconciliation

edgar scot join handsThe opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) says it is not intimidated following the reconciliation between Acting Republican President Guy Scott and PF President Edgar Lungu.

And the opposition party has called on PF President Edgar to relinquish his two ministerial positions following his successful filing in of nominations to contest the republican presidency.

UPND Deputy Spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo has told QFM News that his party is not shaken that the two rival camps have reconciled saying the UPND has already campaigned ahead of the January 20th polls.

Mr. Lifwekelo states that whether the Acting Republican President is on board campaigning for Mr. Lungu or not, the UPND is not shaken considering that they have already visited most of the places which the PF will not manage to do.

He says the people are fully aware that the PF have no policies and vision to continue governing the country and that there is no doubt that Mr. Hichilema will be in State House next month.

And Mr. Lifwekelo says to level the playing field; Mr. Lungu should step down as Justice and Defense Minister.

He says Mr. Lungu can hang on to being a Member of Parliament but can not hold to holding two ministerial positions saying chances of abusing public funds are high.
