Chipimo files as Mulyokela fails to raise nomination fee

National Restoration party (NAREP) president Elias Chipimo junior has successfully filed in his nomination papers for the 20th January presidential before acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda.

Mr. Chipimo has also told journalists after filing his nominations that he will mortgage the couChipimontry to God because he believes God is the one who gives leadership.

Mr. Chipimo says it is important for Zambians to be careful of leader who want to mortgage the country because of their selfish interests.

He explains that his party will engage in clean campaigns and that it will be up to Zambians to judge accordingly come January 20th,2015.

Mr Chipimo says his party will soon go flat out campaign door to door.

The NAREP leader has since expressed hope that he will win the elections next month.

Mr. Chipimo was accompanied by his wife, NAREP vice president Charles MabosMulyokelahe and supporters
president Alex Mulyokela this afternoon failed to file his nominations after failing raise the K10,000 nomination fee.

Mr. Mulyokela who arrived at the Supreme Court around 14:30 hours without any supporters proceeded to the Electoral Commission of Zambia office to ask for more time to organize the money.

Mr. Mulyokela who caused laughter among all Police and ECZ officers told journalists that he had a small problem at the bank because his well wishers were not available to sign the cheque for him.

He further stated that he also had to clear his dues at the Registrar of Societies because his party is not registered and has to pay seven thousand kwacha.

And ECZ Spokesperson Cris Akufuna has confirmed that Mr. Mulyokela has been given time to organize himself before Tuesday and will be allowed to file nominations if he manages to find the money.
