The Head of State then proceeded to UTH where he saw the Under Seventeen p midfielder Changwe Kalale. Kalale is at the health institution for further medical examinations but is said to be stable.
The third player, Satchmo Chakawa is still at Kabwe General Hospital and is responding well to treatment.
Speaking at the start of this week’s training session, Janza said it was unfortunate that three players had been involved in a road accident which has effectively ruled them out of action during the 2015 Africa cup of Nations.
“You all have heard the sad news that has befallen our camp, all I can ask is that you put in your level best and make your friends happy, do what they would have done” Janza said.
Yesterday, three National Soccer Team players were injured in a road accident in Kabwe which left three people dead. Nyambe Mulenga, Changwe Kalale and Satchmo Chakawa were travelling from Ndola to Lusaka when their vehicle collided with a Pajero in Kabwe.
The trio was rushed to Kabwe General Hospital where they received emergence treatment. Nyambe was however evacuated to Lusaka last night and is now admitted to Lusaka Trust Hospital.
Kalale was this afternoon transferred from Kabwe to Lusaka’s University Tea
Green Eagles goalkeeper, Chakawa has remained at Kabwe General Hospital and is said to be doing well, according to Chipolopolo Team Doctor Joseph Kabungo.
And a somber mood characterized the start of the Chipolopolo training this morning. The usual jovial mood was absent at Heroes Stadium as most players looked shell shocked about the tragedy that hit their friends yesterday.
Meanwhile Russian based midfield dynamo, Chisamba Lungu and Zimbabwean based defender, Aaron Katebe are the first foreign based players to join camp.
