Dr Kaseba joins PF presidential race

Late President Michael Sata’s widow Dr Christine Kaseba-Sata has become the latest entrant in the Patriotic Front presidential race.

Dr Kaseba has since filed in her nominations with Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General Bridget Atanga.

Mrs Atanga has confirmed to QFM News in a telephone interview that Dr Kaseba filed in her nominations this morning at around 11:00 hours.Dr Kaseba Wina

Asked whether the former First Lady filed the nominations in person or someone else filed on her behalf,Mrs Atanga said it did not matter whether someone filed the paper on her behalf, but that the fact is that her name is among those who have successfully filed in their nominations.

Dr Kaseba joins eight other contenders for the PF presidency who include Kabwata MP Given Lubinda, Justice Minister Edgar Lungu, Kasama central MP Geoffrey Mwamba,Matero MP Miles Sampa and Lusaka Mayor Mulenga Sata.

Others are Commerce Minister Bob Sichinga,former Zambian Ambassador to Nigeria Captain Seleman Phangula Banda and Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili.
