Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni speaking people in eastern province has dismissed reports circulating on social media that he has died in South Africa where he is receiving treatment.
The traditional leader has told Qfm news in a telephone interview from South Africa that he is alive and will be back in the country on Sunday, 2nd November, 2014.
Chief Mpezeni says he is in South Africa for treatment at Milpark hospital and is responding well to treatment.
He says people should desist from spreading false information, adding that it is not in the spirit of Christianity spreading such rumors.
Chief Mpezeni has further wondered where the people spreading such rumor got the information that he had died.
