Chambeshi: Kampamba’s time is coming

Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi believes it is just a matter of time before striker Reynold Kampamba cements his Zambia place.

The 22-year-old Nkana striker who has five CAF cup goals and another 11 in the league for Nkana in 2014 but has played a minor role under interim coach Honour Janza’s team from five games in charge.

Kampamba’s only game under Janza came during the coach’s debut match on August 31 when the striker came on as a late substitute in Zambia’s 3-1 friendly win over Sudan in Lusaka.

“I know it is difficult but he is a young boy who needs a lot of games but also needs patience,” Chambeshi said.

“I know its not easy to put him in the team but the boy has been doing well at club level and he deserves to play in the team.

“The games will come. The way I know Janza, he is looking at the future of the team and I am sure Sate-Sate (Kampamba) will play for the team.”

Meanwhile, Kampamba is part of Zambia’s home-based team that will host a Cote d’Ivoire B side in a friendly on October 25 in Lusaka.
