Kola scores for Israeli leaders Shmona

Zambia striker Rodgers Kola on Saturday scored a goal to help lift Ironi Kiryat Shmona to the top of the Israel top flight table.

Kola scored Shmona’s final goal in the second half in the home sides’ 3-0 win over tenth placed Maccabi Petah Tikva on Saturday night.

The 25-year-old Zambia striker who started the match found the target in the 55th minute before he was substituted in the 69th minute.

Kola’s goal was his second of the season from four games played in the 2014/2015 campaign.

Shmona lead the table on 10 points from four matches played, two more than Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

Kola is in his second season at Shmona on loan from Belgium club Gent.

The striker has not played for Zambia since March when he sustained an injury in a 2-1 friendly win over Uganda in Ndola.
