All Zambians should celebrate jubilee – Lungu

Ruling Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Edgar Lungu has reiterated the need for the people of Zambia to be proud of what their country has achieved since independence in 1964.

Mr. Lungu who is also Defense and Justice Minister says in the last 50 years, the country has learnt its lesson and has had its own successes.

He says Zambians should therefore take a
dvantage of the 50 years to celebrate as well as reflect on where the country had gone wrong in the past, what could have been done better and on what can be done now.

Mr. Lungu notes that the 50 years of Zambia’s independence is a collection of the different regimes of which people should not hold the ruling PF accountable alone for the many wrongs that have happened in the country.

He says this means that people should not put forth any reasons for shunning the golden jubilee celebrations because the fact that the country is 50 years is a good reason for everyone in the country to celebrate.

Mr. Lungu further states that above all, Zambians should not forget to thank God for the 50 years of peace that country has continued to enjoy.
